Redleaf Group was engaged by GHD to deliver a comprehensive cultural heritage and native title assessment for upgrades and remediation works at Little Nerang Dam Road, Springbrook. The project area encompassed significant public infrastructure and landscape, requiring heritage protection and statutory compliance. The review included a desktop assessment of historic and archaeological registers, detailed field survey, heritage risk analysis, and procedural advice to ensure works met obligations under the Aboriginal Cultural Heritage Act 2003, Queensland Heritage Act 1992, and Native Title Act 1993. Recommendations prioritised heritage protection alongside public benefit, outlining consultation and documentation protocols for both Aboriginal and non-Indigenous values.
